Education is a fundamental right of every person, regardless of their gender. However, in India, for many years the education of girls has been neglected due to various social, economic, and cultural factors. Education is the key to social and economic development, and it is essential for the empowerment of women. In recent years, there has been a significant effort to improve girl child education in India, but much more needs to be done to ensure that every girl in the country has access to quality education.
Research shows that educating girls benefits the whole community. Through education, women are empowered to express their voice and make better choices for their family in the areas of healthcare, employment and education.
Educated women have better job prospects, earn more, and are less likely to be dependent on their spouses or families. They are also more likely to invest in the education of their children and have healthier families.
CRY UK raises awareness about the need to educate girls and women. Through various activities we ensure equal opportunities for girls to get quality education. Our adolescent girls’ collectives and Child Activity Resource Center (CARC) focuses on life skills, nutrition, digital literacy, and health and hygiene to supplement the core curriculum and empower them. Career counseling and mentoring encourage girls to reflect on their aspirations and create a roadmap for achieving them.
To support India's underprivileged girl children, CRY UK has been working to bridge the education gap. Your kind contribution can help make a meaningful difference and guarantee that our girls have a more promising and bright future.
