International Children’s Day is celebrated on 20th November. This day is commemorated to promote children’s welfare and inclusivity and helps spread awareness on the importance of children’s rights.
Speaking of International Children’s Day, most of us were privileged to have had a childhood full of laughter and little joys that we still fondly remember. It is important to celebrate the child within each one of us, no matter how old we get. Here are a few special moments that we have cherished as kids and still do even today:
Still trying to win over the remote from our siblings.
The urge to always get the window seat and enjoy the view is another.
Doodling our thoughts in a boring meeting has always been ever so relaxing. Many of us have found our creative side while scribbling away.
Playing superhero with our siblings by sliding on the floor with socks – feeling like we are on top of the world – has been such an exhilarating thing to do.
Playing merry-go-round with office chairs still gives us a thrill.
Not being able to stop ourselves from hopping on when we see a hopscotch drawn somewhere.
The joy and satisfaction we experience as our fingers run through the bubble wrap, uncontrollably popping air bubbles.
Swinging your worries away, enjoying the breeze like everything in life will just fall it its own place.
Let us take this joy from our happy childhoods to the children of today by ensuring that every child in India has a childhood they truly deserve and hope to cherish for a lifetime. Support CRY UK, a charity that ensures happier childhoods for children in India.
