Importance of Immunization – Building Healthier Communities for Children

Published on January 10, 2024

Immunization plays a crucial role in protecting children from various infectious diseases. In India, 2 out of every 5 children do not receive complete immunizations(NHFS 4 data - 2016). These children are vulnerable to preventable diseases like measles, mumps and tetanus which often result in severe physical and neurological defects and in extreme cases, even death. Here are some key reasons highlighting the importance of immunization in children:

mmunization is a foundation of public health, protecting children from serious diseases, reducing the overall burden of illness, and contributing to the well-being of communities on a global scale. Regular and timely vaccination is a responsible and effective way to safeguard the health of children and the broader population. At CRY UK, we work tirelessly to ensure that children receive timely vaccinations and immunization so that they get a chance to grow up healthy.

Help us reach more children giving them a chance at a healthier future.
